Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

Just a quick note to comment two of your outstanding employees at the Sembach Express, Terry and Christel. I popped in there this morning for my favorite brand of coffee—Dunkin’ Doughnuts—and they were out. Terry checked in the back and there wasn’t any in the stock room, I told him not to worry, that I’d pick some up at the commissary over the weekend. He then got on the phone to Christel as she was out picking up other items and told me to come back at 10 a.m. and they would have some for me. I went back at 10 a.m. and they did. I believe Christel made a special stop just to pick up a packet for me. Fabulous service. I and my employees are very happy to have our preferred coffee today. Terry could have quite easily just let me get some over the weekend, but he choose to make a difference to our day today. Please pass on my sincere gratitude to Terry and Christel for going above and beyond with their customer service.

I was seeking help in ordering a product from another camp, which is an often difficult task within Korea. I was lucky enough to receive help from Mr. Chung-un Pak. He was very helpful and followed up with me to inform me when my request had been delivered and on another occasion when it was not possible to get my request. To me, he is obviously a valued member of your team, given his care and attention to detail to the customers who visit this PX.

I would like to give a shout out to Mitchell and SuEllen from the PX. They were so helpful in helping me straighten out an order that I placed online. They both went out of their way to help me. Please let them know how much I appreciate them.

I want to leave a comment for the staff who helped my husband and son. My husband had a seizure in the Express gas station, and Associate Shelbi Ruark went above and beyond in helping my son feel safe and secure while the EMS personnel was helping my husband. If it were not for your actions, my son may have felt scared and alone during my husband’s seizure. Words cannot express my gratitude. Thank you for being there when I couldn’t be.

My wife and I went to the Exchange to get information about flat-screen televisions. Alberto, the sales associate, saw us looking at the televisions and offered to answer any questions. Since it had been eight years since our last television purchase, we had lots of questions. Alberto patiently took time to fully address our questions and concerns. He pointed out differences between each model. He pointed out the advantages of one model over another and the best value for the money. He did not try to pressure us into making a purchase. By the time he had answered all our questions, we bought one before leaving the store. We believe that Alberto’s knowledge and his personability made our decision to make the purchase very easy. He is the type of sales associate all of your employees should aspire to emulate.
