‘Euphoria’ – Dan Daniel Associates Honored for Life-Saving Aid to Co-Worker

Felycia McSwine, Letitia Santiful and Candice Wells relied upon their CPR training and stayed calm the entire time.

Three associates at the Daniel Distribution Center were honored by managers recently for helping a co-worker who became seriously ill on the job.

Felycia McSwine, Letitia Santiful and Candice Wells received heroism awards from DDDC managers after they used CPR and an automatic electronic defibrillator to revive an associate on July 19. Paramedics arrived a few minutes later.

McSwine is safety & security administrative assistant; Santiful, a foreman and the woman’s supervisor; and Wells, an office assistant. All had taken CPR courses in the past, including one at Dan Daniel in February.

“Naturally, you begin to think if what you did was right or if you could have done anything differently, but this dear co-worker is alive,” McSwine said. “Nobody can take away that euphoria.”
