The Army-Navy Game Is Here, And You Can Join the Celebration

The Exchange is once again a participating sponsor of the Army-Navy Game and will honor disabled Veterans and Purple Heart recipients at the game, welcoming them home with in-store shopping privileges.

Beginning Jan. 1, in-store, tax-free shopping Exchange privileges will expand to all Veterans with service-connected disabilities, Veterans who are Purple Heart recipients, Veterans who are former prisoners of war and primary family caregivers for Veterans who are enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.

Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull will honor five disabled Veterans and Purple Heart recipients during an on-field presentation at the Army-Navy Game on Dec. 14, welcoming them home to their new shopping benefit.

A video created by the Exchange Digital Media Networks team will play as the Veterans and their families gather on the field.

This marks the second year the Exchange will have a presence at the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA.

The Exchange will connect with thousands of Cadets, Midshipmen and fans at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as well as the millions who tune in for America’s game Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. Central Standard Time on CBS.

LTC(R) Jose Hernandez, Exchange Veterans service organization/military service organization outreach manager, will spread the word about the new benefit the Exchange is offering to Veterans during an interview with CBS Sports before the game, while Judd Anstey, senior vice president, corporate communication, will do the same on Westwood One Radio.

An Exchange commercial, produced in-house, will air during the game as well.

Fans will also have the opportunity to see the Exchange’s rolling billboard – the Army-Navy tractor-trailer – as well as a mobile field Exchange. Fans visiting the Exchange booth will receive swag bags touting the Exchange relevancy mission.

Associates can follow the Exchange on social media for all of the excitement throughout the weekend for the Army-Navy Game, including the Rocky Relay, pep rally, muster and Fan Fest events:
