You Made the Grade Program Returns for 2024-25 School Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DALLAS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Army &amp; Air Force Exchange Service\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/aafespa\/54023568703\/in\/dateposted\/\">You Made the Grade Program<\/a> is back for its 24<sup>th<\/sup> year, rewarding military students who earn good grades with exclusive discounts, prizes and savings.<\/p>\n<p>All traditional and non-traditional military students in first through 12<sup>th <\/sup>grades, including those who are homeschooled, can bring their report cards to the customer service area each grading period to receive prizes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey say it takes a village to raise a child and that philosophy is no different for military communities,\u201d said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez, the Exchange\u2019s senior enlisted advisor. \u201cMilitary families move up to nine times on average, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/Release\/Article\/3349616\/month-of-the-military-child-2023-taking-care-of-our-military-children\/#:~:text=Military%20families%20move%20every%20two,to%20their%20high%20school%20graduation.\">Department of Defense<\/a> and face other challenges, such as a parent deploying, that can adversely affect schooling. Families can also enter their student into a biannual global drawing to win even bigger \u2013 a $2,000 Exchange gift card. \" width=\"750\" height=\"946\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students with straight A\u2019s will receive a $20 Exchange gift card while students with a B average will receive a $10 Exchange gift card.<\/p>\n<p>Students will also receive an Exchange coupon sheet, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A free small fountain, frozen drink or bubbler beverage.<\/li>\n<li>A free kid\u2019s meal at a participating Exchange restaurant.<\/li>\n<li>A free combo meal at a participating Exchange restaurant.<\/li>\n<li>A free kid\u2019s hair service at The Barber Shop, Hair Studios, or Stylique beauty salons.<\/li>\n<li>10% off any pair of headphones (excluding Apple and Beats).<\/li>\n<li>10% off apparel and footwear.<\/li>\n<li>A $5 coupon at Exchange mall concessions or kiosks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students <a href=\"https:\/\/publicaffairs-sme.com\/ExchangePost\/2024\/09\/18\/military-spouse-helps-army-air-force-exchange-service-make-you-made-the-grade-program-more-inclusive\/\">who are making progress<\/a> on their specialized education programs can participate too. Parents can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aafes.com\/Images\/AboutExchange\/YouMadetheGrade\/downloadform.pdf\">print a downloadable form<\/a> on ShopMyExchange.com and have their child\u2019s teacher or school official sign it each grading period, indicating the modified grades of the student\u2019s academic progress. Students and parents can bring the signed form to the customer service area at the PX or BX to earn You Made the Grade prizes. Exchange associates have been trained to accept the form.<\/p>\n<p>Students who make the grade can enter a biannual worldwide sweepstakes for a chance to win a $2,000, $1,500 or $500 Exchange gift card.
