The Exchange celebrated the restaurant\u2019s grand opening<\/a> with a ribbon-cutting at the food court on Jan. 16, officiated by Col. Clinton Cox, Fort Benning garrison commander; Mark Farmer, Muscle Maker Grill vice president of operations; Don Sydlik, Exchange general manager; and Rutchel Williams, Exchange services business manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Exchange makes it convenient for Soldiers and military families at Fort Benning to make the right meal choices for them,\u201d Sydlik said. \u201cNo matter your taste, there is a menu item for your meal plan at the Exchange.\u201d<\/p>\n

The restaurant fits in with the Exchange\u2019s priority of bringing name-brand restaurants with better-for-you menus to service members to support troop readiness and resiliency. The Exchange is an active partner in Army Healthy Communities and Air Force Smart Fueling initiatives, transforming its food courts worldwide and focusing on a holistic BE FIT lifestyle for service members.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank the Exchange for bringing in a healthy dining alternative such as this,\u201d said SFC Travis Tite, who dined at Muscle Maker Grill on the day of the grand opening. \u201cAfter 21 years in the Army, it is a nice addition to the dining selection at the Exchange.\u201d<\/p>\n

Muscle Maker Grill offers a variety of lean protein meals, including the Godfather bowl, with grilled chicken breast, Portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, reduced-fat mozzarella, gluten- and fat-free balsamic vinaigrette over broccoli, and the MMG Signature wrap, featuring grilled chicken breast, turkey bacon, reduced fat cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and onions with zero carb signature sauce.<\/p>\n

Soldiers and families can also take advantage of Muscle Maker Grill\u2019s meal plan program, which allows diners to customize a daily schedule of premade meals for pickup or delivery.<\/p>\n

Morgan, president and chief executive officer of Muscle Maker, Inc. \u201cWe are excited to serve all the courageous men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our great country.\u201d<\/p>\n

The restaurant is the second of its kind on a military installation\u2014the first opened at Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss in Texas. Exclusive to Fort Benning is a fresh market bar with fruit, cucumber and pasta salads; garbanzo mixed with fresh kale; and Muscle Maker Grill\u2019s Power Blend, consisting of romaine, spinach and baby kale.<\/p>\n

The Fort Benning Exchange food court is at 9220 Marne Road. Muscle Maker Grill is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. For more information, call 706-984-0185.<\/p>\n
