Despite this difficult environment, the Exchange created numerous game changers that made 2017 a banner year for the 123-year-old benefit our team is honored to provide service members and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/aafespa\/28475135657\/in\/dateposted\/\">the Exchange increased revenues by more than $300 million<\/a> to $8.6 billion with $376 million in dividend-eligible earnings. The organization provided $219 million in dividends to military Quality-of-Life programs critical to Warfighters\u2019 readiness and resiliency, including child care centers, youth programs, fitness centers, outdoor recreation and more.<\/p>\n<p>The report explores efforts that benefited the military community including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcoming home 18.5 million honorably discharged Veterans to ShopMyExchange.com with a lifelong online military exchange shopping benefit.<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance of the MILITARY STAR<sub>\u00ae<\/sub>credit card in all commissaries.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting service members and first responders after three hurricanes in less than 30 days.<\/li>\n<li>Opening the new 300,000-square-foot Exchange at South Korea\u2019s Camp Humphreys, in time for the holidays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Exchange\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aafes.com\/Images\/AboutExchange\/PublicAffairs\/2017_annualrpt_ii.pdf\">2017 Mission Report<\/a> includes audited financial numbers from EY, a third-party global financial services company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facebook-friendly version:\u00a0<\/strong>The Army &amp; Air Force Exchange\u2019s new Mission Report for 2017 chronicles the Department of Defense\u2019s largest military retailer\u2019s support for service members and their families last year.
