\"\"DALLAS\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 For the seventh year, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service has been named a Military Friendly\u00ae Spouse Employer<\/a> by Viqtory Media, publisher of Military Spouse magazine.<\/p>\n

The 2019 Military Friendly\u00ae Spouse Employer list recognizes companies based on five key criteria: career opportunity and advancement; culture and commitment; hiring and onboarding; military employee\/spouse policy and compliance; and military employee\/spouse support and retention. The accolade comes as the Exchange reaffirmed its commitment to hiring 50,000 Veterans and military spouses by 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cExchange associates who are spouses of active-duty service members understand better than anyone the unique challenges of military life,\u201d said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. \u201cWe benefit daily from their experiences and perspectives and are honored to welcome military spouses into the Exchange family.\u201d<\/p>\n

In all, the Exchange employs more than 6,000 military spouses, comprising 21 percent of the workforce.<\/p>\n

Military Friendly\u00ae sets the standard by measuring an organization\u2019s commitment, effort and success in creating benefits and employment opportunities for veterans and their families that are both sustainable and meaningful. The Exchange was also named a top Military Friendly\u00ae Employer by Viqtory Media in August, making it one of the top 100 employers to earn the designation as being \u201cBetter for Veterans and Spouses.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2019 Military Friendly\u00ae Spouse Employers list will be published in the January issue of Military Spouse magazine and is available online at MilitaryFriendly.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
