\u201cIn 2018, the Exchange has hired more than 5,000 Veterans and military spouses,\u201d said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. \u201cWith 85 percent of Exchange associates having a military connection, the team shares a special bond with Airmen and Soldiers. We are honored to hire our heroes\u2014Veterans and military spouses know our customers better than anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, the Exchange reaffirmed its commitment to hire 50,000 Veterans and military spouses by 2020. Veterans and military spouses can find job opportunities worldwide at ApplyMyExchange.com.<\/p>\n

Veterans make up nearly 12 percent of the Exchange worldwide workforce, and the Exchange employs more than 6,300 military spouses. The Exchange\u2019s spouse continuity program assists military spouses in maintaining a career while supporting their Soldier or Airman, often allowing them to retain their job category and benefits during moves. Since 2010, the 123-year-old Department of Defense retailer has hired more than 1,200 Wounded Warriors.<\/p>\n

The Exchange has long been recognized for its efforts to hire Veterans and military spouses. The Exchange was named a 2019 Top 10 Military Friendly Employer and top Military Spouse Friendly Employer by Viqtory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse magazine. In 2018, the Exchange made Military Times\u2019 Best for Vets Employer for the fifth year in a row.<\/p>\n
