\"AAFESINDIANAPOLIS<\/strong>\u2014In its continuing mission to support Warfighters\u2019 Quality-of-Life programs such as Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), the Army & Air Force Exchange Service attended the 2019 BOSS Training Symposium in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

On BOSS\u2019 30th<\/sup> anniversary, approximately 250 single Soldiers, MWR professionals and Command Sgts. Maj. from 64 Army garrisons worldwide gathered from July 22 through July 26<\/a> for leadership and management training that included topics ranging from roles and responsibilities of BOSS members to ways to boost their membership and events.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only does the Exchange support programs such as BOSS with the dividend, but they are also a part of the Healthy Army Community initiative,\u201d said Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Command Sgt. Maj. Melissa Judkins. \u201cWith their BE FIT products and healthy eating options, the Exchange is helping our Soldiers be healthy and fit and ready to fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soldiers attending the conference expressed their appreciation of the support that the Exchange provides.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe the BOSS initiative is one of the best programs in the military and this symposium is a great opportunity to get like-minded single Soldiers together to collaborate on ways we can make it even greater,\u201d said Staff Sgt. Adrian Mooney, Department of the Army BOSS representative. \u00a0\u201cBOSS groups work closely with the Exchange and the Exchange is always willing to listen and help provide for the needs of the single Soldier.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roughly 60 percent of Exchange earnings support Quality-of-Life programs such as BOSS\u2014activities that are critical to maintaining force readiness and resiliency. The symposium was an opportunity for the Exchange to hear first-hand concerns of the single Soldier and understand ways in which it could help improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Exchange has been, and always will be, all in for taking care of Warfighters,\u201d said Col. Collin Fortier, the Exchange\u2019s military community liaison. \u201cWe are proud to support the BOSS program and do our part to boost the morale and welfare of single Soldiers.\u201d<\/p>\n
