\"\"DALLAS \u2013 <\/strong>The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is giving shoppers another chance to support Airmen and Soldiers in need during its second Give and Get Back donation period<\/a> of the year.<\/p>\n

Sept. 13 to 17, Exchange shoppers can donate to either Army Emergency Relief (AER) or the Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) at the register at any Exchange store or online at ShopMyExchange.com. For every $5 donated, shoppers receive an Exchange coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase. (Shoppers who contribute online during the donation period will receive a coupon code.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited that we\u2019re able to partner with the Exchange and align the September campaign with the Air Force\u2019s birthday,\u201d said retired Lt. Gen. John D. Hopper Jr., Air Force Aid Society\u2019s CEO. \u201cOur Airmen, like all of our service members, make countless sacrifices in their service to our country. Remember them while you\u2019re shopping and pay it forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Air Force Aid Society is one of four charities that benefit from the AFAF.<\/p>\n

\u201cExchange shoppers are making a real difference for Soldiers and families in need,\u201d said retired Lt. Gen. Raymond V. Mason, AER director. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for such a successful partnership with the Exchange that benefits the military community.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the third year that the Exchange has partnered with AER and AFAF to host the Give and Get Back campaign.<\/p>\n

Since the Give and Get Back campaign began in 2017, Exchange shoppers have given more than $680,000 to the funds, which provide emergency assistance, sponsor educational initiatives and offer community programs that support the military community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Exchange mission is to make the lives of Soldiers, Airmen and military families better,\u201d said Exchange Director\/CEO Tom Shull. \u201cSupporting Army Emergency Relief and the Air Force Assistance Fund is a fantastic way to fulfill this mission.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sept. 13 to 17 giving period is in honor of the Air Force\u2019s 72nd<\/sup> birthday on Sept. 18. The third and final giving period will fall during the holiday shopping season, from Dec. 6 to 10.<\/p>\n
