Reel Time Theaters will hold screenings at 15 military installations across the country <\/em><\/p>\n

DALLAS \u2013 <\/strong>Service members, military families and military retirees can see a free movie screening of Universal Pictures\u2019 \u201c1917,\u201d<\/a> starring George McKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, with Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch, at Reel Time Theaters on select military installations Dec. 14.<\/p>\n

The following military communities will get to see a special advance screening of the movie nearly a month before it is released in theaters nationwide on Jan. 10, courtesy of Universal Pictures and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service:<\/p>\n

Luis Reyes, the Exchange\u2019s senior enlisted advisor. \u201cThe Exchange works with movie companies like Universal Pictures to provide free movie screenings for service members, their families and military retirees as a way to say \u2018Thank You,\u2019 we value your service and sacrifice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sam Mendes, the Oscar\u00ae-winning director of \u201cSkyfall,\u201d \u201cSpectre\u201d and \u201cAmerican Beauty,\u201d brings his singular vision to his thrilling new epic,\u00a0\u201c1917.\u201d At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (\u201cCaptain Fantastic\u2019s\u201d George MacKay) and Blake (\u201cGame of Thrones\u201d\u2019 Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers\u2014Blake\u2019s own brother among them.<\/p>\n

Produced by Neal Street Productions for DreamWorks Pictures in association with New Republic Pictures, \u201c1917\u201d is rated R and will be released by Universal Pictures domestically in limited release Dec. 25 and nationwide Jan. 10.<\/p>\n
