CAMP GRUBER TRAINING CENTER <\/strong>\u2013 The Army & Air Force Exchange Service unveiled an updated, 6,135-square-foot troop store during a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony<\/a>\u00a0 July 14 at Camp Gruber Training Center.<\/p>\n

The renovated store offers an improved shopping experience for National Guard members, with a full Snack Avenue that features a coffee bar, grill, ICEE machine and soda fountains.<\/p>\n

Col. Brad Carter, Camp Gruber garrison commander, and Brig. Gen. Jon M. Harrison, director of the Joint Staff of the Oklahoma National Guard, cut the ribbon on the updated store along with Exchange General Manager Charles Eaves and Store Manager Sarah Spears.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited for this fantastic renovation at Camp Gruber and look forward to all of our Soldiers and Airmen enjoying this superb facility,\u201d Carter said. \u201cThe feedback we have already received has been tremendous. The relationship we have with AAFES is something we strongly value here at Camp Gruber and thank them for supporting this worthwhile endeavor.\u201d<\/p>\n

The troop store serves thousands of troops and Reservists who come through Camp Gruber from April to September.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow the Exchange is giving them a store they can be proud of,\u201d Eaves said.<\/p>\n

When National Guard members and reservists shop the Camp Gruber Exchange, they are making life better for all who wear the uniform. 100% of Exchange earnings support military communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s important to provide the Camp Gruber community with better resources and more food options while on the installation,\u201d Eaves said. \u201cThe Exchange is dedicated to bringing safe, secure and sanitized shopping, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

The Camp Gruber Troop Store is in Building 135, Braggs, Okla. It\u2019s open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.<\/p>\n
