DALLAS \u2013 <\/strong>For Curnie Bryant Jr., the Army & Air Force Exchange Service is more than a place to shop\u2014it\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoy myself at the PX,\u201d said Bryant, a Little Rock, Ark., resident and Veterans of Foreign Wars member who served in the Army for 20 years. \u201cI frequent the Little Rock Air Force Base Exchange, and I can go in and ask questions with no problem. There is always good camaraderie there.\u201d<\/p>\n

And, for 18.5 million honorably discharged Veterans and 4.1 million disabled Veterans who didn\u2019t retire from the military, the Exchange is still home<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m always looking to save a penny here, a penny there,\u201d said Air Force Veteran David Carr, who served for three years, including 1 \u00bd years in Vietnam. \u201cEvery penny adds up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carr learned about the Exchange\u2019s expanded patronage at the American Legion\u2019s 104th<\/sup> national convention in Charlotte, N.C. and planned to share the good news with fellow members of Post 65 in Statesville, N.C.<\/p>\n
