October’s Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!
Pacific Region/Camp Hansen, Japan
I would like to recognize Kikana, the shift manager at Camp Hansen’s main Exchange, for her commitment to customer satisfaction. She continually exceeds expectations, particularly during my most recent visit.
She never lost composure. Not only was she professional during the entire ordeal of a systems issue, but she took the time to explain the cause.
During another encounter, I needed an item which was sold out at Camp Foster’s Exchange. After a few telephone calls, I discovered the Camp Hansen Exchange had the product. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to reach Camp Hansen before the Exchange closed for the day.
Upon realizing that I desperately needed the item, Kikana offered to transfer it to the Hansen Express so I could purchase the article when I arrived on base. I recognize she did not have to do this, but her dedication to being among the best of who and what the Exchange has to offer is what sets her apart from others.
Please pass on to Kikana my appreciation for what she does every day and for her relentless execution of the Exchange’s core values, Family Serving Family, Respect Everyone, and the Courage to Use Good Judgement. She is a professional!

I am writing to you based on what we observed as we filled our vehicle with gas. An older customer needed assistance at the gas pump. Your employee, Angelique, was fantastic with her! She was so kind and patient.
She helped her throughout the process with her ZIP code, determined how much gas she needed and what it would cost, and provided helpful tips for remembering her information. She provided such great customer service that I had to write you.
She should be commended for going above and beyond the call of duty!
Sherivonn Mendoza and John Spencer

My husband found our associate, Sherivonn Mendoza, who immediately went to the warehouse to find our second package, which contained a patio table. She had difficulty finding the box because the supervisor’s office was locked. However, she persisted and used our bill of sale to find the second box.
She was extraordinary helpful in correcting the situation and was extremely kind and compassionate. When she found the box, she enlisted the help of John Spencer to bring the box to the loading dock.
These two individuals went above and beyond their duties to help us on a Sunday when the storage area was not staffed at that time. We want you to know how very satisfied with their efforts and they should be complimented.

I received the BEST customer service from James Miles. He helped me find the crib I wanted by checking the stockroom, assisting me to the cashier so that the crib could be rung up, and waited outside for me to drive around to pick it up.
Mr. James waited in the hot sun to help me put the crib into the car. He was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and an overall great person. He is a perfect example of what it means to serve the military community and my family. In was so grateful to have him assist us.
