DALLAS \u2013<\/strong> The Army and Air Force Exchange Service announced today that it has been designated as one of the top 25 Military Friendly Spouse Employers by Military Spouse<\/em> magazine.<\/em><\/p>\n The sixth annual list recognizes those companies which hire spouses of active duty service members and make an effort to develop workforce development policies that acknowledge the unique challenges of military life.<\/p>\n According to Military Spouse Magazine, the Exchange was recognized for its forward looking policies that support the unique employment needs of military spouses.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the fourth year the Exchange has been acknowledged by Military Spouse<\/em> magazine for its active recruiting and employment of military spouses,\u201d said the Exchange\u2019s Senior Enlisted Advisor Chief Master Sgt. Tony Pearson. \u201cThe Exchange\u2019s partnership with the Military-Spouse Preference program and its own Spouse Continuity program are examples of our dedication to military spouses.\u201d<\/p>\n The list was compiled from data collected by Military Spouse\u2019s <\/em>sister magazine G.I. Jobs.\u00a0 G.I. Jobs <\/em>surveys companies across the nation to find out which are the best places for people transitioning out of the military to find great civilian jobs. G.I. Jobs <\/em>considered job-hunting military spouses when they distributed the Military Friendly Employers \u00ae survey. The questionnaire addressed spouses\u2019 biggest concerns, including flexibility when a spouse is deployed and opportunities for continued employment and advancement in the midst of frequent moves.
