<\/a><\/p>\nDALLAS \u2013<\/b>Military shoppers at the Fort Knox Exchange are enjoying a modern shopping experience thanks to a $3.5 million renovation, the Exchange\u2019s first full remodel in 20 years.<\/p>\n
The 115,000-square-foot Exchange<\/a>, which took seven months to update, boasts three separate merchandise areas\u2014Home, Life and Style\u2014to appeal to military shoppers\u2019 active lifestyle.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can expect to see anything here that you’ll find in any department store,\u201d said Col. Thomas Edwards, the Fort Knox Garrison commander. \u201cEach day, the Fort Knox team works to make improvements here for your benefit and the community\u2019s benefit as a whole. The Exchange is proof of this commitment.\u201d<\/p>\n The Exchange\u2019s makeover includes updated shopping sections, such as Bath & Body Works and Victoria\u2019s Secret. In the mall, three separate concession areas have been consolidated to accommodate more name-brand concessions, including Patriot Outfitters, which sells military tactical gear.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe brought in a lot more brands, like Michael Kors, which is very popular,\u201d said Fort Knox Exchange General Manager Rick Fair. The firearms and PowerZone sections were expanded too, he said.<\/p>\n So far, the face-lift is a win for Exchange shoppers.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI found the new layout to be a great improvement,\u201d said retired Lt. Col.
