DALLAS \u2013<\/b> With the weather warming up to ideal outdoor activity temperatures this spring, many Soldiers and Airmen are taking to motorcycles as their recreational activity of choice.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But riding a motorcycle isn\u2019t without its dangers: According to a 2015 study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 4,668 fatal motorcycle crashes on United States roads in 2013. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"15267883405_f48a029d1a_b\"<\/a>That\u2019s why, as a partner in readiness, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service <\/span>provides service members with a wide selection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)<\/span><\/a>, which could make the difference between life and death when riding on two wheels.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGetting on a motorcycle without protective equipment isn\u2019t just risking a little road rash \u2013 it could mean loss of life or limb,\u201d said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Sean Applegate, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. \u201cThe Exchange carries a full range of gloves, jackets and visibility gear to make sure those who protect our nation\u2019s freedoms \u2013 and their families \u2013 are covered each time they get on a motorcycle.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
