Army & Air Force Exchange Service Hosts Healthy Lifestyle Festivals Worldwide

DALLAS – To continue to support troop readiness and wellness, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and Defense Commissary Agency are giving Soldiers, Airmen and their families something to celebrate with Healthy Lifestyle Festivals on most military installations worldwide.

The annual festivals feature health and wellness activities, including commissary produce sidewalk sales, exclusive savings on select Exchange fitness items, grilling demonstrations, food tastings, giveaways and more for service members and their families. The festivals will also highlight healthy living tips and products for pets.

The festivals kicked off at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, on May 1 and run through July 3 and are an example of the continued partnership between the Exchange and commissary, highlighting the value both retailers bring to military communities.

For the Exchange, the Healthy Lifestyle Festivals are part of a larger BE FIT program that encourages Soldiers, Airmen and their families to make better-for-you choices to remain ready and resilient.

“The Healthy Lifestyle Festivals are a great example of making those BE FIT choices that will improve the quality of life for our Airmen, Soldiers and their families,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “We are honored to be a resource that helps our military community develop healthy habits.”

For more information on the festivals, shoppers can visit the Exchange Public Affairs page or contact their local Exchange main store for dates, times and locations.
