DALLAS – Soldiers, Airmen, retirees, Veterans and military families can clean up in prizes thanks to the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s year-round sweepstakes.
Exchange shoppers won more than $555,000 in 2018 in prizes, including gift cards, coveted Army-Navy Game tickets and trips to LEGOLAND in Orlando and Wrigley Field in Chicago. MILITARY STAR® cardholders won more than $150,000 of the Exchange’s total prizes in exclusive sweepstakes, including the annual Your Holiday Bill Is on Us Sweepstakes, in which grand-prize winners had their balance paid in full.
The giving will continue throughout 2019, with dozens of opportunities to win hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes. Authorized shoppers can visit the Exchange’s Hub at ShopMyExchange.com/Community and follow facebook.com/shopmyexchange for information on all the sweepstakes.
“The winners I talk to always say they never thought it would be them, but people really do win when they shop their Exchange,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “The Exchange is committed to giving back to those who give so much to us. We are truly grateful for our Nation’s heroes.”
Veterans were able to get in on the winning, too. Honorably discharged Veterans, eligible to shop the Exchange online, could enter nearly all of the sweepstakes. One of the big prizes—a Troy-Bilt riding lawnmower valued at nearly $3,000—went to Navy Veteran Michael Thomas who signed up at ShopMyExchange.com so he could shop the military-exclusive prices tax-free.
“It’s really nice to have a place that understands Veterans and folks that are still serving,” Thomas said.
