DALLAS – Service members, military families and retirees can get a free sneak peek of Warner Brothers’ “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton, at Reel Time Theaters at Army and Air Force installations May 4.
The following military communities will get to see the movie nearly a week before it is released in theaters to nationwide audiences, courtesy of Warner Brothers and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service:

- Hickam Air Force Base, HI
- Keesler Air Force Base, MS
- Malmstrom Air Force Base, MT

“Seeing a movie is a wonderful way for Airmen and Soldiers to relax with their families and friends,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “The Exchange is grateful for the sacrifices that troops and their families make every day for our safety and freedom, and we’re happy to help provide a free screening for them.”
“Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” rated PG, is the first live-action film based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise. Justice Smith stars as a teen whose father is kidnapped, which leads him to Ryan Reynold’s Pikachu and Kathryn Newton, who plays a young journalist, and they team up to find him.
“The Exchange is honored to work with Warner Brothers to provide an advanced viewing of this first-run movie for troops and their families,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “We couldn’t do it without them.”
