DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service, NBCUniversal and GOLF Channel are teaming up to provide a custom-authenticated live stream of the “Exchange Celebrating Service: Fort Jackson” World Long Drive Tour event on Tuesday, May 7. The competition includes a division for military service members competing alongside World Long Drive athletes, with the winner earning an exemption into the Volvik World Long Drive Championship (Thackerville, Okla.) in September.
The coverage, which starts at 5 p.m. EST, is available to service members, their families, all honorably discharged Veterans and other authorized military shoppers with ShopMyExchange.com accounts.
Viewers can visit www.golfchannel.com or download the GOLF Channel mobile app and choose the Exchange as the service provider. Viewers must use their login credentials for their ShopMyExchange.com accounts to verify military status.
Service members, Veterans and other authorized shoppers overseas must be on an Army or Air Force installation with internet service from an Exchange-contracted or other authorized provider to access the coverage. Shoppers can stream on their mobile devices using an authorized internet service over Wi-Fi. The competition cannot be streamed over mobile networks.
The Military Division consists of golfers who won one of 12 preliminary qualifying events held at 12 installations around the country in March-April.
Military service members are vying for a spot in the Volvik World Long Drive Championship Aug. 30 – Sept. 4, which also will stream free to service members and Veterans worldwide.
