Exchange Celebrates Healthy Choices in Military Communities with Summer Festivals

Healthy Lifestyle Festival, BE FIT, Exchange, and Commissary logosDALLAS – Soldiers, Airmen, retirees and military families can enjoy the weather, have fun and BE FIT at Army & Air Force Exchange Service Healthy Lifestyle Festivals on installations around the world.

The Exchange has teamed up with the Defense Commissary Agency to host festivals that feature health and wellness activities, exclusive savings on fitness apparel and gear, food tastings, commissary produce sidewalk sales, demonstrations and more. There are even healthy living tips for pets.

The festivals offer easy and fun ways the military community can make better-for-you choices, which is the focus of the Exchange’s BE FIT program.

“Making smart decisions when it comes to health and fitness drives the military community’s readiness and resiliency,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “The Healthy Lifestyle Festivals help bring awareness of all the healthy options and resources service members and their families can find at the Exchange and commissary.”

The festivals kick off at Fort Drum on May 15 and run through July 7 and are an example of the continued partnership between the Exchange and commissary, highlighting the value both retailers bring to military communities.

For more information on the festivals, shoppers can visit https://publicaffairs-sme.com/Community/hlf or contact their local Exchange main store for dates, times and locations.
