Army & Air Force Exchange Service Helps Make Life Better for Military Communities with New Dental Offices

DALLAS – Military family members and retirees have a reason to smile as the Army & Air Force Exchange Service further strengthens the exchange benefit with expanded dental services.

DOCS locations opened in July at Joint Base Langley-Eustis and Fort Campbell, with additional locations planned at Forts Bragg, Benning and Sam Houston and Luke AFB later this year. Patients can receive comprehensive checkups, X-rays, cleanings, restorative filings, crowns, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and more at the dental office. TRICARE Dental, FEDVIP and most insurances are accepted.

“The Exchange is committed to protecting the military community, and dental health plays a significant role with respect to maintaining health and wellbeing,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor. “From teeth cleaning to tennis shoes, the Exchange is all in to support every member of the military community.”

DOCS opened its first office with the Exchange at Fort Eustis on July 14, making it the Exchange’s fourth dental office—locations at Fort Hood and Fort Stewart are in partnership with Coast Dental. At the end of June, the Exchange partnered with a local provider to open a dental office at USAG Humphreys in Korea—the Exchange’s first overseas dental office.

The Exchange has provided dental services since its first dental office opened at Fort Hood in 1993. Now, about 128,000 patients are seen at Exchange dental offices annually.

Dental services are part of the Exchange’s BE FIT initiative, which takes a holistic approach to health and wellness. BE FIT promotes better-for-you options at restaurants and Expresses and wellness services like optometry clinics, dental offices, and durable medical shops.
