FORT RILEY – Soldiers, families and members of the Fort Riley community can now pick up a pick-me-up thanks to the opening of a second Army & Air Force Exchange Service Starbucks location on post.
Fort Riley Deputy Commanding Officer (Support) Col. Geoffrey A. Norman, 1st Infantry Division Command Sgt. Maj. Raymond S. Harris, Fort Riley Garrison Commander Col. William B. McKannay and Fort Riley Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy V. Speichert joined Fort Riley PX General Manager Jermaine Wilson and Exchange leaders in cutting the ribbon on the coffee kiosk Sept. 8. The Starbucks kiosk is in the Exchange’s Big Red One mini mall and offers hot and cold handcrafted espresso beverages, tea, pastries and more.
“The Exchange is committed to meeting the needs of our service members and their families,” Wilson said. “Adding a Starbucks kiosk in the mini-mall brings greater convenience to Fort Riley.”It matters where you shop. Whenever Fort Riley Soldiers, retirees and families dine at Exchange restaurants or shop at Exchange stores, they are giving back to their community, as 100% of Exchange earnings are reinvested in the military community through capital improvements and support of on-installation Quality-of-Life programs. In 2020, shopping the Fort Riley Exchange generated more than $1 million for these programs that make life better for Soldiers and families.
As with all of the Fort Riley Exchange restaurants, anyone can dine at the Starbucks—Soldiers, retirees and military families, as well as visitors, civilians and Department of Defense contractors.
The Starbucks kiosk is at 6914 Warren Road and is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
