HURLBURT FIELD – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is making life more convenient for the Hurlburt Field community with renovations to the Express.

1st Special Operations Mission Support Group Commander Col. Dustin Richards and local Exchange leaders cut the ribbon July 22 on the updated store, which also includes a new Hunt Brothers Pizza quick-serve restaurant.

“We are honored to further enhance the Quality-of-Life for Hurlburt Field’s Soldiers and families with this refreshed and revamped Express,” said Hurlburt Field Exchange General Manager Sheila Clark. “The store’s new look brings a modern shopping experience to the tax-free savings and on-installation convenience the Hurlburt Field community has long enjoyed. The addition of Hunt Brothers Pizza means they can also now pick up a hot, fresh meal while on the go.”

The 10,300-square-foot store features new wall murals; a redesigned queue line that allows for faster checkout; a revised Snack Avenue; a Hunt Brothers Pizza; and BE-FIT-approved healthy snacks such as fresh fruit, hummus and hard-boiled eggs.

The $1.2 million project was funded entirely by Exchange earnings. 100% of Exchange earnings support the military community, including critical Quality-of-Life programs that make life better for those who live and work at Hurlburt Field.
