DALLAS – Five military shoppers walked away with more than $19,000 in MILITARY STAR card account credits as grand-prize winners in the Exchange Credit Program’s Your Holiday Bill is on Us Sweepstakes, part of more than $40,000 awarded to military shoppers in the 12th annual event.
Through November and December, shoppers who use their MILITARY STAR card anywhere it is accepted are automatically entered in the sweepstakes, with more than 4.8 million entries in 2025.
Along with five grand-prize winners who had their balances paid off or a minimum $2,500 statement credit, 10 second-place winners received $1,000 statement credits and 25 third-place winners received $500 statement credits, totaling more than $40,000.
Army Reserve Spc. Eddie Gonzalez II had his balance paid in full and was recognized during a ceremony at Los Angeles AFB Exchange.
“Having my MILITARY STAR card bill paid off has definitely helped ease financial stress and given me peace of mind,” Gonzalez said. “I have three children, including a 10-month-old daughter, and I plan to take this opportunity to invest in a college fund for her future with the money I would have used to pay my credit card bill.”
At Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, retired Air Force Tech. Sgt. Donald Brzezniak was also honored as a grand-prize winner. He expressed his gratitude for the support, sharing how his holiday purchases made a meaningful impact on others.
“I feel very fortunate [to win],” he said. “The purchases made during November and December were all Christmas presents. One of the purchases was for someone in need. I’m a huge believer in karma and helping people. I’ll definitely pay it forward.”

Since 2013, the Your Holiday Bill is on Us Sweepstakes has awarded more than $443,000 to Exchange shoppers.
