DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service has awarded its highest honor—the Director/CEO Cup—to four Exchanges worldwide.
Exchanges at Fort Campbell, UK Consolidated, Robins/Moody Air Force Base and Offutt Air Force Base were recognized with the Exchange’s highest award May 7 during the Department of Defense retailer’s worldwide Main Store Managers/General Managers Conference in Frisco, Texas. One store in each of the Super, Large, Medium and Small Exchange categories—based on sales volume—was crowned the best in operational
excellence among Exchange facilities.
“The Exchange sets the standard high for serving the best customers in the world,” said Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull. “Fort Campbell, UK Consolidated, Robins/Moody and Offutt have met and exceeded that standard. We thank these teams for leading the way and for their dedication to Soldiers, Airmen and military families.”
The winners were chosen from among 93 eligible stores based on customer experience, leadership, business results, marketing efforts, community support and command validation for partnerships and engagement.
Fort Campbell, located on the Tennessee-Kentucky border, was named top store in the Super category; UK Consolidated won its second consecutive prize for large stores; Robins/Moody Air Force Base in Georgia took home the prize among medium-sized stores; and Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska was tops among small stores.
Among other awards presented was the Family Serving Family award, which recognizes Exchanges that best exemplify the organization’s core value. This year, two Exchanges were honored with the prize: the Iraq Exchange, which supports coalition forces from more than 60 countries, and the Fort Buchanan Exchange in Puerto Rico, for its exceptional service after hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the island last fall.
