Army and Air Force Exchange Service to Unveil Updated Troop Store at Camp Gruber

The reimagined Camp Gruber Exchange Troop Store will feature a full Snack Avenue with a wide array of choices.

CAMP GRUBER TRAINING CENTER – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service will unveil an updated, 6,135-square-foot troop store during a grand reopening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. July 14 at Camp Gruber Training Center.

The renovated store offers an improved shopping experience for National Guard members, with a full Snack Avenue that features a coffee bar, grill, ICEE machine and soda fountains.

Lt. Col. Phil Hemmert of the Oklahoma National Guard will cut the ribbon on the updated store during the grand reopening along with Exchange General Manager Charles Eaves.

“From April to September, generally, we have thousands of troops and Reservists who come through Camp Gruber,” Eaves said. “Now the Exchange is giving them a store they can be proud of.”

When National Guard members and reservists shop the Camp Gruber Exchange, they are making life better for all who wear the uniform. 100% of Exchange earnings support military communities.

“It’s important to provide the Camp Gruber community with better resources and more food options while on the installation,” Eaves said. “The Exchange is dedicated to bringing safe, secure and sanitized shopping, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
