DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE – Airmen and Reservists at Dobbins Air Reserve Base can now clean up with a variety of laundry services after the Army & Air Force Exchange Service opened 16 Tide Lockers at Dobbins Air Reserve Base.
Tide Lockers, the first in operation for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, provide a convenient drop-off for clothing and laundry. After downloading the Tide Cleaners app, Dobbins shoppers bag up their items—no hangers necessary—deposit them into an available locker and send their locker number through the app.
Orders are trackable and Tide notifies users when laundry is ready for pickup. Turnaround times vary by location.
“The Dobbins community appreciates services that provide a quality-of-life boost and help our Airmen and Reservists remain ready and resilient,” said Brig. Gen. Craig McPike, commander of the 94th Airlift Wing. “I’d like to thank all BX staff members for the outstanding services they provide.”
Services available include dry cleaning, wash-and-fold laundry and alterations—all provided through the app.
“Dobbins houses Reservists from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines, as well as active-duty Airmen, and laundry services are in high demand,” Dobbins Exchange General Manager Nicholas Nguyen said. “Many purchase their uniforms at the Military Clothing Store and need alterations, and now they can get that done in a convenient way just by dropping them off in a locker.”
Tide Lockers are in the Dobbins main Exchange and are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
