DALLAS – Brig. Gen. Francis Hendricks, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s Deputy Commander and Director EEO, Diversity and Inclusion, has been selected as one of “America’s Top Diversity Champions for 2012” by DiversityBusiness.com.

The “Top Champions” award is a list of leaders that have distinguished themselves in the markets and communities they serve with quantifiable results on important diversity initiatives. In addition to the Exchange, other organizations recognized on the list include American Airlines, Johnson & Johnson, McDonalds, Pepsico and Macy’s among others.

As the lead advocate for the diversity program at the Exchange, Brig. Gen. Hendricks embraces the different perspectives that diversity brings to the workplace and fosters an inclusive environment where diversity is leveraged at every level in the organization.

“This recognition reflects the great efforts of the entire Exchange team,” said Hendricks. “As we embrace this award, we must never lose sight that diversity and inclusion are a journey. There is no finish line.”

Brig. Gen. Hendricks and the other award winners will be recognized at the 12th Annual DiversityBusiness.com Multicultural Business Awards Ceremony and Conference held April 25-27 in Mashantucket, CT.
